Yaoh

Yaoh is a small firm, started in February 2002 and is therefore a relative newcomer to the natural products arena. However, in a fairly short space of time Yaoh has carved itself its own unique niche in the hearts and minds of many. Here's why...

Yaoh Products

Yaoh (pronounced yay-oh ) officially started life on Valentines Day 2002. Based in Bristol, they specialise in organic hemp products, particularly bodycare, that is animal product free, rich in organic hemp seed oil and other essential oils and herbal extracts, and free from parabens, chemical preservatives, SLS and other harsh chemical ingredients. Yaoh also organises the world's biggest Vegan event, the Bristol Vegan Fayre, and publish the ‘Vegan Guide to Bristol’.

Yaoh is managed by Tim Barford, who has been living in Bristol since the early 80's. Tim founded the UK's first hemp company back in 1991 and opened the UK's first hemp shop in Bristol in 1994. Vegan since 1984, Tim is passionately committed to seeing an increase in all things green, organic and fair trade. Unlike many, Yaoh only works with the independents – valuing the integrity of the independent natural products sector they do not sell to the multiples.
Yaoh also has a 'Complimentary not Competition' policy. Great to see in these competitive days - they encourage similar companies to contact them and work together, so that eco products can all move forward.
