4% TREE AID
For communities in Africa, trees mean life. TREE AID is the UK’s only forestry-based development agency, helping villagers in some of the poorest countries in the world plant new trees, protect existing ones and manage tree resources well. In this way, TREE AID enables people to grow themselves better futures.
Unicorn is committed to supporting Tree Aid's ' Ghana Village Tree Enterprise Project' from 2011 to 2013. A programme of business & marketing support, agroforestry training, and support in conserving natural resources is going into developing 45 tree-based enterprises in 10 communities. Tree nurseries will also be established to increase the supply of tree products. The enterprises will include the production of shea butter, forest crafts and organic mangos.
