Sonett Cleaning Products

Sonett are a German company, and produce a wide variety of ecologically sound cleaning products, already one of the best-selling ranges in continental Europe. This is a company with seriously great eco-credentials, established behind the principle of caring for water, our most important resource. Sonett use no ingredients that could be environmentally hazardous or dangerous to human health, and all ingredients are completely biodegradable. In concrete terms, this means that ALL Sonett products are free from artificial fragrances and colours, synthetic preservatives, enzymes, GM ingredients, phosphates and petrochemicals.

These are really great products, better in both quality and provenance, we feel, than the Ecover alternatives. All of the ingredients in the Sonett range we stock are from vegetable and mineral materials, and many of the plant ingredients used are organically or even biodynamically grown.

Opposed to the intensification and increasing chemical use in today’s farming, Sonnet are increasingly sourcing their raw ingredients, particularly the high quality essential oils, with a guarantee that they have not been treated with artificial chemicals. Some of the oils used are even fairly traded.

The active washing ingredient in Sonett products is, for the most part, plant derived soap. Their avoidance of the ‘non-ionic surfactants’ used in some eco detergents goes way beyond many other companies, because these ingredients are not in fact completely degradeable.

Finally, unlike many big name ‘eco’ brands (step forward Ecover), Sonett deal equally fairly with small independents like us as they do with the supermarkets, allowing us to bring you their products at really good value prices.
