Kingfisher Toothpaste
Kingfisher was the UK’s first 100% natural toothpaste and one of the first toiletry products we stocked here at Unicorn. Founded by Richard Austin (of Rainbow Wholefoods in Norwich) in the 1980’s, it has developed from that first fennel flavour to a range of seven varieties, two of which we stock in the shop. Kingfisher also attempts to minimise its impact on the environment and contribute to positive projects locally and abroad, especially in Tibet. That’s why Kingfisher also try wherever possible to use organic or ‘wildcrafted’ ingredients, for example the fennel used in making the toothpaste is harvested from the wild. A complete listing of every single ingredient’s name in full and its use in the toothpaste is available on every pack; a first for British toothpaste manufacturer.
