Farewell to a Food Hero
On Wednesday 10th October, Howard Wass, a long standing Unicorn veg grower, died suddenly. Many of us at Unicorn have fond memories of Howard as an inspirational figure, committed to ideals as well as high quality organic food production. Many customers will know his excellent Marfona and Desiree potatoes as well as leeks, swedes, carrots and other cold weather veg: Great taste from a highly respected farm with a long rotation approach, creating nourished and living soil. His wife Rosemary, and the rest of the Newfields Farm team are keen to continue this good work. We wish them well.
