Urban Grocers - Co-operative Team Members

We are now recruiting for full (37 hrs) and part time (20+ hrs) co-op members.

As a worker co-operative, Unicorn is owned and managed by its members - the workforce. Co-op membership involves working at all levels of the business, and includes significant amounts of shop floor work (serving, cleaning, re-stocking) as well as taking on specialist responsibilities such as storeroom, finance, or human resources. There is a probationary period of 7 months from the start of employment. Unicorn operates with a pretty 'flat' management structure, and all co-op members are managers of the business, taking on equal responsibility for equal pay.

We are looking for highly motivated, hardworking individuals to join our team. Hours will involve early and late shifts with alternate weekend working. Applicants need to have an excellent eye for detail, to work efficiently, completing tasks within a given timescale while delivering a superb standard of customer service. You will be expected to work well, independently and under instruction. Successful applicants will become part of a vibrant and growing worker co-operative that trades within a clear ethical framework, providing decent, affordable food to its local community.

Ł17,100 (pro rata) plus profit-related bonuses. 5% contribution to a pension and a range of benefits including healthcare and a 20% shop discount.
